Established as an autonomous, full-fledged French public multidisciplinary university in 2007 (originating from the historic Centre Universitaire de Formation et de Recherche de Nîmes), Université de Nîmes (UNÎMES) is a dynamic, forward-thinking university located in the Roman heritage city of Nîmes, in the Occitanie region of southern France. Educating over 5,500 students and supported by more than 350 faculty, researchers, and administrative personnel, UNÎMES is uniquely recognized nationally and internationally for its pioneering specialization in Risk Management (Sciences du Risque) encompassing environmental hazards, nuclear safety, cybersecurity, and societal resilience.
