As Ontario's only university with a special legislative mission to cultivate cross-cultural learning between Anishinaabe (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) communities and other communities, Algoma U offers a distinctly supportive, student-centered academic experience with intimate class sizes (average 22 students per class), personalized faculty mentorship, and cutting-edge undergraduate research opportunities. The university operates across three distinctive campuses: the picturesque main campus on the historic St. Marys River in Sault Ste. Marie, a rapidly expanding state-of-the-art campus in the downtown Innovation District of Brampton (Greater Toronto Area), and a specialized regional campus in Timmins in partnership with Northern College.
